At Air Liquide, we know that being a leader - in innovation, sustainability, customer experience - is an achievement built on the individual actions and commitments of each of our employees. Ensuring a healthy and fulfilling employee experience is critical to a successful organizational culture.

Just as our safety culture does not start and end at Air Liquide’s doors, our commitment to our employees’ health and wellbeing extends beyond the workplace. This commitment to holistic wellbeing is cemented in both Air Liquide’s sustainable development goals and in our ADVANCE strategic plan.

Air Liquide in the U.S. is proud to offer employees enhanced benefits for maternity leave and short term disability. With 14 weeks of paid maternity leave, consisting of parental leave and short term disability at 100% of the employee’s base salary, birth mothers can bond with their children and focus on their physical and mental health without the stress of an accelerated return to the office. Additionally, non-birthing parents, including new dads and parents growing their family through surrogacy, adoption and foster care, are offered 6 weeks of paid parental leave after one year of employment. For employees with an approved disability claim, short term disability leave coverage now extends to 8 weeks of leave at 100% of the employee’s salary.

“An employee experience based on common care coverage, diversity, empowerment and growth are critical to building trust as the basis of our employee interactions and acting for all. Beyond that, at Air Liquide, taking care of our employees and committing to their wellbeing beyond the workplace is simply the right thing to do. These new benefit enhancements are a reflection of our culture and the value we know is inherent to each of our employees,” said Denese Toliver, VP of Human Resources, Air Liquide North America.
