Mike Graff, Chairman of American Air Liquide Holdings, Inc. and Executive Vice President, Air Liquide, was recently appointed to the American Institute of Chemical Engineer’s Foundation Board of Trustees as Vice Chair. The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of AIChE, the premier professional organization for chemical engineers globally. AIChE is committed to growing the engineering profession while ensuring its ability to solve problems, create change and innovate for a better tomorrow. Supporting this mission is the Foundation’s flagship “Doing a World of Good” program.
As Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Mike will help shepherd the Doing a World of Good campaign so that it can make the greatest impact within its pillars of action: attracting and retaining the best and brightest talent; education, training and career development; research and innovation; safety and ethical practice; and, changing perceptions.
At Air Liquide, Mike has led the organization in focusing on these same principles - what AIChE calls doing a world of good, we at Air Liquide call acting for all. This alignment of mission and personality also led to Mike’s being named AIChE’s most recent AGILE Award winner in 2023. Commenting on his appointment, Mike said,
“As Vice Chair of the AIChE Foundation Board of Trustees, I'm looking forward to continuing my engagement and aligning my personal passion for sustainability, safety and workforce development with the program so that together we can ensure that the chemical engineering profession is ready and able to do good for the world today, and into the future.”
