The sustainable development goals rooted in our ADVANCE strategic plan demonstrate Air Liquide’s long term commitment, supported by a resilient and diversified approach, to growing our workforce with the highest quality talent. This includes identifying meaningful career opportunities for veterans transitioning from military service to the civilian workforce.

A Marine veteran himself and founder of Hire Our Heroes, Dan Caporale started the first National Hire a Veteran Day in 2017 to encourage veteran job applicants and employers to increase their veteran workforce. Air Liquide recognizes the benefits veterans bring to the workforce through their blend of diverse skills and core values from leadership and adaptability, to discipline and teamwork. This is why Air Liquide actively recruits talent across the country year-round at veteran job fairs such as those hosted by RecruitMilitary.

When Marine veteran Aaron Harris left the military, he used his education benefits to study hydrogen fuel cells. Given his passion for hydrogen and Air Liquide’s expertise, he and Air Liquide were bound to cross paths. Air Liquide’s ALVets Business Resource Group (BRG), which is committed to serving veterans and their families, gave Aaron confidence that he and his life experiences were welcomed at Air Liquide. Now after nearly 9 years with Air Liquide and currently H2E Director of Operations & Technology for the United States, Aaron reflects on his career growth, saying “It was my experience during my time with the Marine Corps that solidified my interest in renewable energy, particularly hydrogen.”

As a 2021 gold award recipient of the U.S. Department of Labor’s HIRE Vets Medallion Award, the only federal award program that recognizes employers who are strongly committed to recruit, employ and retain veterans, Air Liquide proudly continues to actively recruit veteran talent and employs our nation’s heroes.

If you’re a veteran looking to advance your career in the civilian workforce through the opportunity to explore many different types of work all over the world while remaining with the same company, on National Hire a Veteran Day, Air Liquide welcomes you to connect with one of our recruiters, review our benefits and apply to open job opportunities that match your unique skills.

From providing veteran-specific resources such as leadership programming, dedicated human resources, pay compensation and more, Air Liquide is proud to serve our veterans to improve their total well-being for an impactful, successful career ahead.
