Air Liquide America Specialty Gases LLC announces price changes

Air Liquide America Specialty Gases LLC, the subsidiary of American Air Liquide Holdings, Inc. that supplies specialty gases throughout the U.S., announces it will raise prices for nitrous oxide.

The price increases will be 15 percent for all bulk and cylinder nitrous oxide. Existing product discounts may also be reduced or eliminated. These changes will become effective July 1, 2011, and will vary based on customer geographies, volumes and existing customer contracts.

Air Liquide is committed to maintaining the high level of service expected by its customers. Price adjustments have become necessary due to rising operating costs associated with energy, labor, regulatory requirements, and ammonium nitrate, the feedstock used in manufacturing nitrous oxide. The nitrous oxide market has not experienced any substantial price adjustments in several years.
