Nevada H2 Plant

It’s been two months since we celebrated the inauguration of Air Liquide’s liquid hydrogen production plant in North Las Vegas, Nevada! On May 24, 2022, we commemorated the opening of Air Liquide’s newest and largest liquid hydrogen production plant in the world.

To mark the occasion, view a special welcome message from the U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm and U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV).
This site produces 30 tons of liquid hydrogen per day for various customers, notably those in the growing clean mobility market on the West Coast. California, for example, is one of the most advanced clean mobility markets in the U.S. It benefits from the facility’s capacity to produce renewable hydrogen for over 40,000 fuel cell vehicles. This significantly improves hydrogen supply for mobility, a critical enabler for market growth. While the clean mobility market continues to mature, the plant configuration allows for the sale of hydrogen to a wide array of sectors with a range of renewable and low-carbon options for customers.
