Calgaz, a division of Air Liquide America Specialty Gases LLC (“Air Liquide”), celebrates two significant safety accomplishments.

Calgaz employees recently achieved two important safety anniversaries. The U.S.-based production facility in Cambridge, MD., celebrated its fifteenth anniversary of no lost time injuries. The U.K.-based production facility in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, celebrated five years of no lost time injuries.

These accomplishments reflect the Calgaz safety policies and processes originally developed and implemented in 1976 when the Calgaz brand first launched. For almost 40 years, Calgaz has continuously assessed and refined these processes to ensure the safety of users and to protect the safety of employees.

For Air Liquide, these occasions are recognition of the commitment by management and employees to a zero injury workplace. Regardless of location or function, every day is a day to work safely and make safe decisions.

David Meneses, President of Air Liquide America Specialized Gases LLC: “At Air Liquide we all share the same goal: to perform our jobs safely so we go home to our loved ones in the same condition as when we left them to come to work.”

Jim English, Vice President of Calgaz: “These events are a terrific opportunity to reinforce the message that safety is both our core value and our business. The commitment we make to the delivery of products that protect people around the world begins with the commitment we make to the personal safety of everyone who works at Calgaz.”
